Fostering Technology and Entrepreneurship.
Technology and entrepreneurship are reshaping Nigeria’s economy in ways that often outpace public policy. Over the past decade, young Nigerians have led the development of solutions across fintech, logistics, agritech, education, and health, creating jobs and drawing global investment in the process. These successes have emerged despite inconsistent policy support, limited infrastructure, and access to finance that remains uneven.
This subtheme explores the kind of leadership that can sustain this momentum and remove barriers to innovation. It focuses on how leaders in both government and the private sector can support digital infrastructure, expand startup financing, and provide regulatory clarity. Sessions will examine how tech founders and entrepreneurs are building new business models, mentoring future talent, and strengthening local ecosystems. They will also reflect on how values such as collaboration, transparency, and resilience have shaped the growth of the sector.
The discussions will help clarify how innovation ecosystems evolve and what specific policy or institutional reforms are needed to scale their impact. The aim is to understand how leadership decisions can unlock broader economic transformation through technology and entrepreneurship that respond to real-world needs and support national goals.
